The award, jointly presented by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and Fresenius Kabi, includes a €20,000 research grant to support Dr. Cutuli’s innovative project:
“High protein dosing to accelerate liberation from continuous kidney replacement therapy in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury: a randomized clinical trial.”
Fresenius Kabi is proud to support initiatives that foster scientific advancement and education in clinical nutrition. This award reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering healthcare professionals and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based research.
“My research will explore how high protein dosing can be used to support accelerated patient recovery and reduce dependency on CRRT. If we can optimise nutritional therapy, we will be able to sustain patients through their taxing recovery journey and ultimately improve outcomes”, said Dr. Salvatore Cutuli, Italy.
